Welcome Aboard Letter

Hi!

I’m glad you’ve decided jump on the inside track. Be ready to stretch yourself into some exciting new places.

My name is Joe Garma, and the one quick thing to know about me is that I’m devoted to living longer, stronger and with more vitality than the average bear. And I want this for you too.

GarmaOnHealth.com is where I share the lessons learned and applied to my life that has made me biologically younger than my actual time on the planet.

Over the years, I’ve had several health obstacles to overcome, and am still fine-tuning things. You will benefit from seeing what I’ve tried, what works, what doesn’t.

Generally speaking, the work done at GarmaOnHealth.com is related to the “4 Pillars” — Mindset, Reset, Fuel and Move.  And it’s within this paradigm that I’m writing a book that will be free to you, provisionally entitled, The Ageproof Method.

In the meantime, there’s much for you to explore.

What you can expect from me:

Once a week I will email a newsletter to you on Sunday. Typically, it will contain…

A summary of an article I’ve written, or video produced.

Summaries of various news and insights curated by me from the web or other sources.

Special mentions of areas of focus that I think would be valuable to you.

Deals I run into pertinent to biometrics testing, supplements, courses and the like.

Special Note:

A big THANK YOU if you got to this page after taking the Survey, first. The intent of the survey is provide me the necessary information about your interests so I may develop protocols that will help you achieve your health goals.

Often, the quickest way to get the word out is via social media, so stay up-to-date and don’t miss anything important:

If you haven’t done so already, go to Quickstart. That’s the place to quickly become familiar with this site, and what might be useful to you, your friends and family.

Remember two important things as you step forward to cultivate something new and grand in your life…

#1. Understand the value of and inevitability of “Progression”.

You are wherever you are – tired/energetic, sick/hale, weak/strong, thin/fat – and it’s very unlikely that you will transform yourself overnight. It takes time.

Accept that.

Accept also that you can gradually make improvements, step by step. The key is to make consistent progress in the direction you’ve set.

Some days it will feel like you’ve take a step back, but a broader view will show that old cliché to be true:

For every one step back, two forward.

You just need to shake off discouragement and stick to the plan 80% of the time.

#2. Recruit a friend. Two is better.

The “buddy system” is a marvelous thing. Recruiting a friend who has the same goal as you makes the journey more fun, more sure-footed, and increases the probability of success.

Even better – recruit two friends. That way, if one wavers, the other is there to help support you.

The buddy system makes you accountable, and provides the sometimes much-needed push to keep you aligned with your goals. Plus it makes it all more fun.  We like fun.

Go recruit a friend or two.

Speaking of friends, if any might be interested in the journey you’re about to begin, simply email them www.GarmaOnHealth.com.

See you on Sunday (mostly).

Ciao for now,

Get the Transformation Guide

The “Transformation Guide” is the four-part guide that will help you make the lifestyle changes needed to become biologically younger. There’s nothing you can do to change your chronological age, but there’s a whole lot you can do to rejuvenate your mind and body.

Access the Guide!

Get the BioAge Spreadsheet

If you don’t have the foggiest notion of what this is about, go read Wouldn’t You Like To Know Your Real Age. But don’t enter your email there, because you’ll just get a message saying you’re already a Subscriber.

What’s Needed

To calculate your BioAge, you will need nine blood test markers that are typically provided in your annual doctor check-ups. If you don’t have them, and your doctor won’t prescribe them, you may get them all with one test: Healthy Aging Panel (Basic) Blood Test. This blood test may be purchased at Life Extension Foundation, after which you go to a nearby Lab Corps Patient Service Center for blood or saliva collection.

These are the nine, each linked to a description on Wikipedia:

  1. Albumin
  2. Creatinine
  3. Glucose
  4. C-reactive Protein
  5. Lymphocyte (Shown as “absolute” on LEF test, but “%” needed, so use this conversion)
  6. Mean Cell Volume (“MCV” on the LEF test)
  7. Red Cell Dist. Width (“RDW” on the LEF test)
  8. Alkaline Phosphatase
  9. White Blood Cells (“WBC” on the LEF test)

How To Use The BioAge Calculator

Click here for your copy of the BioAge spreadsheet and you will see this:

The BioAge Calculator can estimate your biological age based on several blood markers. What follows are instructions on how to access the spreadsheet (calculator), save it as your own, input your blood numbers and calculate your biological age.

When you click the orange button below (“Get Your Copy”), you’ll see this page that I screenshot and added instructions to:

The top row (in blue) of the spreadsheet is where you type in your blood test numbers and chronological age. The cells in this row should be empty, but if there are not, overwrite them with your own data.

Click here to watch a video screencast of the the process.

Get the Anti-aging Work Sheet

This link will open in Google Drive/Google Docs. Once there, you can create an editable copy of the Anti-aging Worksheet by creating your own copy, and saving it to your computer, before using it to make your own anti-aging plan.
